Unit price per3D Car Care's 3D GLW Clay Lubricant is an easy-to-use clay bar lubricant for home use: it creates a slippery layer between the paint and the clay, allowing the clay to glide without sticking and remove contaminants bonded to the paint with a lower risk of marring.
Clay removes industrial fallout, metallic particles, tree sap, and pollution that washing alone cannot remove. The lubricant makes this step safe: without enough lubrication, the clay drags dirt across the paint and leaves marks. Neutral formula, made in the United States.

How to use
- Wash the car first. To remove iron before claying, use an iron remover.
- Work in the shade on a cold panel, one small section at a time.
- Spray the Clay Lubricant generously over the panel and the clay.
- Pass the clay over the surface in straight lines without applying pressure. When it no longer feels rough, the panel is clean.
- If the clay starts to stick or squeak, spray on more lubricant.
- Wipe off the excess with a clean microfibre towel and move on to the next panel.
- If the clay falls on the ground, discard it: the dirt it has picked up will mar the paint.
Limitations and safety
- Clay removes contaminants, not scratches or swirl marks. Polishing is required for these.
- After claying, the paint is left unprotected: apply wax or a sealant next.
- First, test on an inconspicuous area of matt paint or vinyl wrap.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Which one to choose
Before claying, wash the car with 3D GLW Ultimate Wash and dissolve iron fallout with 3D GLW Iron Remover. Use the lubricant with the 3D Car Care Clay Towel or the 3D Car Care Clay Sponge, which are faster to use than a traditional clay bar. After claying, protect the paint with 3D GLW Ceramic Wax. Free shipping to mainland Portugal, Madeira and Spain on orders over €30 (Azores and Porto Santo over €100). Mainland Portugal and Spain: 3–5 working days. Madeira: 1–2 working days. Azores and Porto Santo: 5–7 working days.
Returns
New, unopened products can be returned within 60 days of receipt. The refund covers the product price, minus the shipping costs (outbound and return), which are paid by the customer.
If a product, once opened and applied correctly, is faulty (for example, a change in texture or in the product itself) or does not deliver the described result (for example, no hydrophobic effect after correct application), you can return it within the same 60 days for inspection. Once we receive it, we test the product and give you our verdict within 7 days. If the fault or performance issue is confirmed, we give you a full refund and cover the shipping costs both ways.
